I first realized that I hated actor Doug Hutchison when I saw him in the Green Mile. The second he appeared on screen I instantly shouted "Hate that guy!" ... then I kind of sat there stunned for a sec, not sure why I said that or where it came from. The longer I watched that movie the more I hated him and I had no idea why, for some reason I filled up with this seething hatred every time he came on the screen. It wasn't just the character he was playing either, even though his character was a horrible ass and deserved what befell him at the movie's end, no this hatred spanned beyond the movie. Of course I hated his character but I hated *him* even more. Then later I was watching an episode of CSI and who came on the screen but *HIM*!! I jumped up and screamed "HATE THAT GUY"!!! His character was again someone you were supposed to hate but my hatred ran beyond the character. I just couldn't figure it out. I tried to think about if I had seen him somewhere before but I drew a complete blank.
Months went by and I saw a trailer for the movie "I am Sam." Again he appeared, again I shouted my hatred for him, again I was puzzled as to why.
A few more weeks went by until one evening my world broke. I was watching the Space Channel, Canada's version of the Sci-Fi channel, and was about to watch a re-reun of X-Files. Sometimes there is a gap in programming after the end of one show and the beginning of the next and they fill this gap with interviews, sci-fi news, shots of outer space, trivia, etc. I happened to catch the middle of an interview with Chris Carter, creator of X-Files. He was talking about an early episode when a guest star was "... so grateful for the opportunity to appear on the show that Doug Hutchison sent me a liver as a thank you."
This is when I had an epiphany that hit me so hard it was like a 747 crashed on my head. HE WAS EUGENE VICTOR TOOMS!!! Oh My God he was the evil stretchy liver eatin guy from first season!! I love X-Files, I even bought that episode and it's 3rd season sequel on tape years ago! I felt like I had stabbed in the back. All I could do was jump up and down on the couch, scaring the cats, pointing at the TV, and screaming "He was Eugene Victor Tooms the WHOLE TIME and I DIDN'T KNOW!!!"

Oh yeah and I already know I'm insane.... but ... but it was HIM! The WHOLE TIME!! I couldn't believe it.
